haunted landscape/s is a series in multiple formats by claudia bosse (2024/2025), created in collaboration with various artists with/about/through wounded landscapes. WASTEland is a porous choreography that grew out of the recurring WASTELAND dream/s over seven months. For WASTELAND dream/s – a chronicle on choreographic ground monthly encounters with an ever-changing wasteland gave rise to performative rituals with five dancers and a performance extending through space with the public performance school PPS & PPS_extended. In HAUNTED LANDSCAPES or the breathing out of earth claudia bosse occupied the stage of tanzquartier wien at the end of October 2024 with a walk-through performative environment, together with various materials, five performers and sounds by günther auer. in HAUNTED LANDSCAPE on an unseen wasteland a centrally located residual site became an urban laboratory and the setting for a series of visual, musical and performative interventions by claudia bosse with the public performance school PPS and invited artists. In the field research project haunted landscape/s – about inner and outer landscapes as part of impulstanz claudia bosse explored relations to landscapes, organisms and movements on unstable ground with the participating dancers. claudia bosse’s installation interwoven with the forest, entanglement with a haunted forest opened mahler forum 2024 in June 2024, accompanied by a musical commentary by günther auer. Between what is built, what has grown, what is present and what has been, the installation in the forest remains freely accessible until the end of October. haunted landscape/s was developed in May 2024 as a site-specific performance with three female dancers and two movement choirs for a vacant building plot, and ultimately culminated in a multimedia installation. In October 2023, claudia bosse developed LANDSCAPE/S as part of the project celebrating trouble. choreographic convention in timișoara (Romania) – a lecture performance unfolding as an installation that became a performative landscape.
