vampires of the 21st century or what is to be done then?

dominant powers. what is to be done then? is a contemporary tragedy, an installation, a choreography, a journey through situations and many questions. this theatre and installation work with interviews about the political changes in northern africa premiered in november 2011 in vienna and was shown in a french version with an arabian chorus in tunis as part of journées théâtrales de carthage. now it has its premiere in the museum of contemporary art zagreb (MSU). a continuing process in many countries.

since december 2011 claudia bosse has been researching together with sound artist guenther auer in new zagreb and has been meeting inhabitants of this urban area. in this version of "dominant powers. what is to be done then?" for EUROKAZ 2012 citizens from new zagreb become part of a special transfer. with their bodies and their biographies they are actors of a live installation in the MSU and form the chorus of the performance "dominant powers. what is to be done then?". at the same time art pieces from the MSU are placed in the apartments of the participants: biographical landscapes of new zagreb. a cartography of new zagreb with selected residents and their concepts of life.
